The exhibition “Freedom and Europe: A Construction of Everyone” casts the spotlight on one of the basic values of the construction of Europe. A fundamental principle in modern European thought, freedom is an indispensable factor in the consolidation of a plural Europe. To this extent, defending the value of freedom is equivalent to defending Europe itself.
Under the curatorship of David Santos, this exhibition brings together works of art from the Portuguese State Collection of Contemporary Art and the European Parliament’s Collection of Contemporary Art.
Intended as the artistic expression of some of the action plans of The Portuguese Presidency – a resilient, social and global Europe – the exhibition is at the European Parliament in Brussels.
