The Portuguese Minister for the Environment and Climate Action, João Pedro Matos Fernandes, will be hosting the 3rd Union for the Mediterranean Ministerial Meeting on Energy, which will be held on Monday, 14 June, from 09h00 to 12h30. Organised under the scope of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the conference will take place at the Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon.
Also taking part in the meeting will be Hala Zawati, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Kadri Simson, European Commissioner for Energy, and Nasser Kamel, Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean.
The Union for the Mediterranean is an intergovernmental institution made up of the Member States of the European Union and 15 countries of the southern and eastern Mediterranean, to promote dialogue and cooperation, with three strategic goals in mind: stability, human development and integration.
