Portuguese Presidency hosts EU-Cabo Verde Ministerial Meeting

The Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union will be hosting the 11th European Union-Cabo Verde Ministerial Meeting on Tuesday, 29 June at 12h30 (local time). The in-person meeting will take place at the Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB) in Lisbon.

The Ministerial Meeting will be co-chaired by the Portuguese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Augusto Santos Silva, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and by the Cabo Verde Minister for Foreign Affairs, Rui Figueiredo Soares.

The European and Cabo Verde parties will discuss issues related to the political and economic situation in the EU and in Cabo Verde, as well as matters of regional and global scope, such as the upcoming European Union-African Union Summit or the reform of the World Trade Organisation. From a bilateral perspective, the
meeting will also serve to take a closer look at the EU-Cabo Verde Special Partnership, particularly in terms of mobility, growth and employment, among as other issues.
