The Ministers responsible for Consumer Protection will be meeting via video conference on 16 March at 13h30 pm (Lisbon time). The European Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders, will also be taking part in the informal meeting.
They will be discussing the next steps to be taken in the development of the European consumer protection policy, as well as the New Consumer Agenda and the Conclusions of the European Council, approved on 22 February last.
The results of the European Consumer Summit 2021, which is taking place today, are also fundamental instruments in the ministerial discussions.
At the end of the meeting, there will be a press conference, scheduled for 16h30 (Lisbon time), with the Minister of State for the Economy and the Digital Transition, Pedro Siza Vieira, and the European Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders.
