The Portuguese Minister for Health, Marta Temido, will be chairing an informal video conference of Health Ministers of the European Union, under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU, this Thursday, 20 May, at 09h30 (Lisbon time).
At the meeting, which will be held from the Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon, there will be discussions on the Member States entering into joint procurement agreements to purchase vaccines for the coming years (2022-2023) and the status of SARS-CoV-2 will be reviewed.
The European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, and representatives of the European Medicines Agency and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control will also be taking part in this informal meeting.
At the end of the meeting, from 12h45 (Lisbon time), the Portuguese Minister for Health, Marta Temido, and the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, will make press statements.
