RTP will be assuring the Host Broadcast services during the fourth Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Portuguese public service radio and television operator will assure coverage and the production of the international signal, from the centre of operations in the CCB, through the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) network of satellites or on the distribution platform, Newsdirect. It will also be providing audiovisual records of the Presidency, to be used free of charge by radio or television operators, online media and national and international agencies.

The audiovisual material will also be distributed by Europe by Satellite (EbS), the European Commission's TV information service.
