2021 is the European Year of Rail.
Rail transport is to be promoted as a sustainable, innovative and safe mode of transport through events, campaigns and initiatives planned to take place throughout the European Union.
The launch event for the European Year of Rail, which is organised in cooperation with the European Commission, is a unique opportunity to debate the benefits of rail for travellers, the economy and the climate, as well as the challenges facing the creation of a true single European rail transport space without borders.
